Chapter 516

Nathan White and Jane Evans stood side by side outside the door.

They both nodded to Mrs. White.

Mrs. White took two steps forward.

For some reason, she suddenly glanced back.

Her son was standing next to Jane, wiping his tears.

Jane waved her hand at him.

It seemed like she was telling him not to cry.

But he only cried harder.

Jane let out a soft sigh.

Her son, with his wire-frame glasses, usually looked gentle and refined.

Now, he was in such pain and sorrow, as if he had lost the most important thing in his life.

Mrs. White's heart softened inexplicably.

Since he was a child, her son had been the apple of her eye.

If he wanted something, she would buy it for him as long as the family could afford it.

If he wanted to play games, he would pester her a bit, and she would give in.

Fortunately, her son had always been restrained and successfully got into university.

For so many years, he had rarely asked her for anything.

Honestly, seeing her son like this, Mrs. White partly thought he was useless.

To be so infatuated with a woman.

But after he obeyed her, she felt a bit sorry for him.

Mrs. White looked at Jane again.

She saw Jane take a piece of paper from her bag and then look at her anxiously.

That expression didn't show much sadness about being forced apart.

Instead, she seemed more eager to see Mrs. Evans?

Mrs. White suddenly felt a bit unbalanced.

Her son had given so much for this mute girl.

Now he looked heartbroken, as if he couldn't move on.

But what about this mute girl?

Did she have no attachment to her son at all?

Mrs. White suddenly felt a surge of anger.

Why?

She had helped this little mute solve her problem.

And then? She would fly far away, with a bright future ahead.

But her son might hate her for the rest of his life because of her!

Thinking of this, Mrs. White took out her phone and dialed a number.

"I just have to get this off my chest! This girl is simply too cunning."

"My dear friend, I've actually been played by a little girl."

A voice came from the other end of the phone.

"That really is too much. The key point is, if you just let her go like this, your son will hate you for life, right?"

"The one you can't have becomes the unattainable love, sigh~"

Hearing this, Mrs. White paused.

The one you can't have...

Her eyes suddenly lit up, and she stopped walking.

"Friend, I've thought of a good idea, thank you!"

She hung up the phone and went straight back to the door, approaching Jane and Nathan.

Nathan was stunned.

"Mom? What's wrong?"

Jane was also puzzled.

Did Mrs. White not want to help her see Mrs. Evans anymore?

Then she would go find Mrs. Evans herself.

She picked up her brother John Evans's phone.

The screen showed her chat history with Mrs. Evans from today.

Jane: [I'm Jane Evans. I have something to tell you. Can I come see you?]

Mrs. Evans: [I'll come see you right away.]

Jane: [No, I'll go to you. Don't come here.]

Mrs. Evans: [Then I'll send a car to pick you up.]

Jane: [No need, I'll take the bus.]

Mrs. Evans: [Alright, alright, just come. Have lunch at home, okay?]

Jane didn't reply again.

The following messages were all from Mrs. Evans.

Almost every five minutes, she would ask.

Mrs. Evans: [Sweetie, are you almost here?]

Mrs. Evans: [Sweetie, we made sweet and sour ribs for lunch, your favorite from before.]

Mrs. Evans: [Sweetie, I told your brother Justin to stay out. You won't see him when you come. Please stay for lunch, okay?]

Mrs. Evans: [Sweetie, not here yet?]

Mrs. Evans: [Sweetie, I'll come to the entrance to meet you.]

The last message was sent just now.

This meant Mrs. Evans would be here soon.

Jane just needed to wait here.

Jane was thinking this when she saw Mrs. White suddenly come up to her.

She questioned her directly.

"Do you really love Nathan?"

Jane was slightly taken aback, then her eyes lit up, and she nodded immediately.

Of course she liked Nathan.

Who wouldn't like such a gentle and kind boy?

But Mrs. White sneered.

"But I don't see your affection."

"My son is so heartbroken for you. What about you? Why don't you seem worried at all?"

Jane looked at Nathan, wanting to write an explanation.

[It's because...]

She only wrote four words before Mrs. White stopped her.

"You don't need to explain anything."

"I'm just asking you, since you love my son so much, and I'm willing to help you plead your case to Mrs. Evans and them."

"Then can you do one thing for my son?"

Jane was stunned, then nodded immediately.

Of course she would!

Even though Nathan was too weak-willed, always listening to his mother...

But she and Nathan truly loved each other...

Nathan stepped forward.

"Mom, are you going to make things difficult for Jane again?"

"I'm not making things difficult for her, I'm doing this for your own good!"

Mrs. White glared at Nathan, then looked at Jane.

"I'm pleading for you, shouldn't you repay me?"

"Here's the deal. Be my son's mistress for two years."

"When my son gets tired of you, you can leave."

This way, Nathan would have Jane, so he wouldn't hate her.

And he wouldn't be pining for her because he couldn't have her...

Mrs. White thought her idea was simply brilliant.

But one thing had to be made clear.

"However, you must not tell anyone, and you must not let the Evans family know."

"Also, you can live together, but don't get pregSterlingt and have a child!"

"Nathan, your child must be born to Miss Evans!"

Hearing these words, Jane was completely stunned.

She looked at Mrs. White in disbelief.

She never expected her to say such things!

Nathan beside her was also stunned.

"Mom, how can you say that!"

Mrs. White spoke up.

"Nathan, what's wrong with what I said?"

"You like her, don't you just want to be with her?"

"Since that's the case, my idea is perfect!"

"You can be together."

"If you can't bear to let her go after two years, then just keep supporting her!"

"Miss Evans just returned to the family. Mrs. Evans definitely won't let her get married so soon."

"As long as you break it off before Miss Evans marries you!"

"By then, you should be tired of her anyway..."

Mrs. White glanced at Jane and said to Nathan.

"Someone like her, plain and simple. After sleeping with her a few times, you'll realize women are all the same..."

"What's all this talk about love!"

"When you reach my age, you'll just be sick of the sight of each other!"

Then she looked at Jane.

"As long as you agree to my condition, I'll go plead your case to Mrs. Evans!"

"I'll make sure the Evans family doesn't give you or your brother any more trouble!"

"Do you agree?"
