Chapter 604

The Castillo family estate was filled with figures.

The twenty bodyguards Nicole Sterling had brought were now surrounded by over forty people.

Ethan Valentine raised his voice. "The Cortez Sect members are on their way. The Castillo estate is a bit small, so I had them wait outside. There are about a hundred more who haven't come in yet! Oh, and our Valentine family has several hundred people too."

A young man dressed in a delivery uniform also shouted. "Boss, we have several hundred people on our side too, scattered within a five-kilometer radius of the Castillo estate. Just give the order, and we can be here within five minutes!"

Another voice rang out. "Miss Valentine, I was sent by the Roland family. Our young mistress ordered me to follow your instructions! The Rolands sent fifty people…"

"We're from the Evans family. The young master told us to await your orders…"

"And our Sherwood family…"

The scene became chaotic and noisy for a moment.

Nicole stared, dumbfounded.

Evelyn Ross was also getting a headache from the noise.

She raised her hand and waved it.

The people who had surged in immediately fell silent.

They simply blocked the doors and windows completely, cutting off any retreat for Nicole and her subordinates.

Nicole was protected in the center by her bodyguards.

She looked at Evelyn with shock and suspicion, then scanned her surroundings in disbelief. "Grace Valentine, you actually brought this many people?"

Evelyn found the statement somewhat laughable. "These people, I just had them stay hidden on standby. If you hadn't made the first move, they wouldn't have shown themselves."

She had been operating in New York for so long.

To complete those two tasks, she had expended immense effort.

How could she possibly be stumped by a Nicole Sterling, an outsider from the Castillo family?

Evelyn hadn't wanted to handle things this way initially.

It seemed like bullying with numbers.

Moreover, gathering a crowd to cause trouble was ultimately improper.

But Mr. Valentine being poisoned had crossed her line!

Not everyone in the Sterling Family followed the rules.

For example, Nicole's methods were excessively ruthless.

Nicole stared fixedly at Evelyn, her chest heaving violently.

She clenched her fists.

Evelyn took a step forward, meeting her gaze directly. "Nicole, you're out."

Nicole's jaw tightened, her eyes fierce. "You think just because I'm out, you can rest easy? The winner of this theater of war in China might not be you!"

Evelyn stared at her. "I know. You want to say 'Fox'."

Nicole froze.

Evelyn let out a derisive laugh. "You're not Fox. Fox is someone else, right?"

Nicole immediately averted her eyes, evading the question. "What nonsense are you talking? If I'm not Fox, then who is? Fox's task is to compete with you for the Castillo family's support. Besides me, who else is competing with you?"

Evelyn's gaze was sharp. "Tell me where Fox is, who Fox is. Or, tell me everything about the Sterling Family. Perhaps I can leave you a way out."

Nicole sneered. "I told you, I am Fox."

Evelyn narrowed her eyes and took two steps back.

She raised her hand and waved.

The surrounding people immediately stepped forward, apprehending Nicole and all her subordinates.

It was a completely one-sided suppression.

Nicole and her people offered almost no resistance before being completely subdued.

Evelyn looked at Grace Lorenz.

Grace understood and immediately said, "Hand them over to our Special Operations Division for processing. Take them to the Special Operations Division!"

"Yes."

Upon hearing this, Ethan Valentine immediately organized the Cortez Sect members to carry out the escort. He himself was a formal member of the Special Operations Division, making him perfectly suited to handle this.

Nicole was personally escorted by Ethan.

As she passed by Evelyn, she still glared at her viciously.

Evelyn met her gaze. "You've been refusing to say who Fox is because you want to protect her, so she can deal with me, right? You're counting on her winning and sparing your life, correct? But Nicole, have you ever considered that if I win, perhaps I could also spare your life?"

Nicole immediately scoffed. "You think I'd believe you?"

"Right now, besides believing me, you don't seem to have any other choice."

Nicole fell silent again.

Grace Lorenz spoke up. "Let's take her to the Special Operations Division and lock her up for a couple of days first. Let her think it over properly."

Evelyn nodded.

Ethan immediately led the people away.

The Castillo estate quickly returned to quiet.

Evelyn looked at Elder Castillo, about to speak.

But Elder Castillo proactively took a step forward.

He took a small bottle from his pocket and handed it to her. "This is the antidote."

Evelyn took the medicine bottle.

Before she could speak, Elder Castillo suddenly asked, "Grace, have you… ever met your grandmother?"

Evelyn paused, then shook her head.

Elder Castillo asked again, "Then, did your grandmother leave anything for your mother? And did your mother leave anything for you?"

Evelyn looked at him. "What are you asking?"

Elder Castillo gave a bitter smile. "I just want to know if she ever… truly had me in her heart?"

Evelyn was taken aback, suddenly understanding.

What she could figure out, Elder Castillo must have realized too.

He had come to understand that he might have just been used by her grandmother.

To her grandmother, he might have been merely a tool for sperm donation.

What her grandmother truly wanted was just a daughter with Castillo family blood.

So that today, when the Castillo family had to make a choice, they would have no other option.

Evelyn pressed her lips together and answered truthfully, "I don't know."

At Elder Castillo's age, he should have seen through everything.

She didn't want to comfort him with lies.

Elder Castillo nodded dejectedly.

Then he said, "I will send word throughout the Castillo family, informing them that you are my granddaughter. From now on, the Castillo family will fully support you!"

Upon hearing this, Evelyn paused slightly.

She looked at Elder Castillo and asked directly, "Grandfather, can you tell me, what exactly does the Sterling Family do? Why are they so mysterious?"

Elder Castillo was stunned, his gaze towards her complex. "This matter… is a long story."

"Then make it short."
