Chapter 655
A dull thud echoed.
Ethan Valentine had just begun to speak. "Little cousin, you're stepping on the gas way too hard. It's like you're driving a sports car... Whoa!"
The car shot forward violently.
Ethan felt himself slammed back into the seat, the muscles of his face contorting from the force.
His eyes widened in disbelief as the black Bentley sped off like a race car, the scenery on both sides blurring past.
The car headed straight for a sharp turn ahead.
Ethan yelled, "Little cousin! First Senior Sister! I was wrong! Don't risk your life over what I said! Safety first!"
As soon as the words left his mouth.
The car executed a perfect drift.
Evelyn Ross steered with one hand, cool and collected. The car navigated the turn smoothly, its speed undiminished, charging straight for the Valentine family gates.
In the back seat, Ethan was tossed around, dizzy and nauseous, feeling like he might vomit up last night's dinner.
The car raced down the road, overtaking countless vehicles, and soon arrived at the Valentine estate.
The moment the car stopped, Ethan shoved the door open and jumped out, crouching by the roadside as he retched violently.
He glanced down at his watch. The hands were still shaking, but he could just make out that only fifteen minutes had passed.
His little cousin had driven them home.
Who said she couldn't drive?!
Ethan now wished he could drag over the brothers who had seen Evelyn driving that night, pry their eyes open, and make them take a good look.
Ethan vomited until the world spun.
Evelyn and Alexander Vance had already strode toward the living room.
They didn't go directly to find Mr. Valentine in the living room. Instead, they went to the kitchen first.
Natalie Castillo was nibbling on a duck tongue, craning her neck to peer toward the chef.
The butler teased beside her. "Miss Castillo, are you hungry again right after eating?"
Natalie's words were sweet. "Not at all, I'm practically stuffed. But how is the Valentine family's food so delicious? Sob... Can I try a piece of that sausage?"
The Valentine family chef blushed from the praise, smiling broadly as he used chopsticks to pick up a piece of sausage and hand it to her.
A blissful smile immediately spread across Natalie's face.
Evelyn and Alexander exchanged a glance.
They both felt Natalie was acting a bit too innocent. That demeanor could fool everyone in the Valentine family.
Both felt a sense of helplessness.
Natalie ate the sausage and suddenly caught sight of Evelyn. Her eyes lit up, and she waved her over. "Evelyn, you're back~ Your family's chef is simply the best. I'd love to take him with me."
The chef's face turned even redder. "Miss Castillo, that won't do. The Valentine family has been very good to me. I can't leave with you. If you want to eat, just come visit more often!"
Natalie thought for a moment and nodded. "Once I marry Spencer Valentine, I can eat it every day~"
The chef smiled contentedly.
Spencer Valentine, who had been secretly snacking with her in the kitchen, silently blushed to the tips of his ears.
Natalie giggled and walked over to Evelyn. "Let's go. You probably have something you want to ask me, right?"
Evelyn followed her. The two walked to a secluded corner.
Evelyn took out her phone, opened the post, and handed it to Natalie. "Did you do this?"
Natalie glanced at it and raised an eyebrow. "Oh, it's trending! Let me see... 'Valentine Daughter Sympathizes with Traitor?' 'Valentine Stocks Plunge!'"
Natalie covered her mouth. "Evelyn, since you were recognized by the Valentine family, they've really had one disaster after another. If you ask me, Uncle should just stop supporting you and support me instead!"
Evelyn was speechless.
She was about to say something.
Natalie spoke first. "I'd like to claim credit for this, but my methods aren't this crude..."
She looked at Evelyn and said directly, "I would have secretly sent this evidence directly to the Valentine family shareholders. Once they knew, they'd definitely demand Uncle kick you out. Then the Valentine family would support me. This current approach is clearly meant to destroy the Valentine family."
Natalie sighed. "I like Spencer Valentine so much. How could I bear to destroy the Valentine family? Besides, I still need the Valentine family's support~ Hehe, so this post really isn't from me."
Evelyn looked at Natalie and suddenly realized something. "Was it posted by other Sterling Family heirs?"
Natalie snapped her fingers. "Correct! I can plant people in the Special Operations Division. Others can too. Evelyn, your 'Rabbit' identity is exposed. That's drawn their attention, and they're using this method to deal with you~"
Natalie tilted her head. "I told you, sometimes you need to be ruthless. What are you going to do now? The shareholders are all in the living room cornering Uncle. If he doesn't give an explanation for today's matter, he probably won't be able to get out of it."
Evelyn's jaw tightened immediately.
Natalie spoke. "Regretting it now? Actually, if you cut all ties with Mr. Benjamin Wright right now and stop protecting him, you can break this deadlock! Evelyn, don't be too impulsive. Consider this my first lesson for you about the Sterling Family!"
