Chapter 801
Joanna Sterling did not know that Evelyn Ross was not Grace Valentine.
When she asked this question, her eyes held a probing look.
Natalie Castillo immediately glanced at Evelyn.
She opened her mouth to explain, "It's like this, that..."
"I am not Rabbit."
Evelyn directly cut her off.
She looked at Joanna, her tone calm. "Rabbit is my twin sister."
Natalie's eyes widened sharply.
She almost jumped up to cover Evelyn's mouth.
How could she just say something like that out loud!
She glared fiercely at Evelyn.
Joanna was also stunned.
She stared blankly at Evelyn. "You just said it outright like that?"
Evelyn nodded.
"Since we are allies, we should be honest with each other."
After her experience with Elian Cross, she had learned that deliberate concealment only led to more loopholes.
She was not her sister, and she had no psychic connection.
She knew nothing about her sister's past experiences in the Sterling Family.
Given that, it was better to be frank.
One more person who knew meant one more person to help cover for her.
Natalie stamped her foot in frustration.
"Is she really that worthy of your trust? You just finalized the cooperation, and you expose your biggest weakness? Do you know that with this statement, you've already lost in this heir competition!"
Evelyn smiled.
"We are all in the same boat now. Exposing me won't do either of you any good. At the very least, you can forget about the economic cooperation with China."
Natalie was left speechless.
Evelyn looked at Joanna.
"Besides, Lion must have already figured it out, right?"
People who hadn't been in contact for long might not be able to tell that Evelyn was not Grace.
But Joanna had stayed at the Valentine family for so long, how could she not have guessed?
Joanna had been in contact with both the Valentine and Vance families.
Later, Preston Valentine had even taken her to the Vance family several times.
She must have known long ago that Alexander Vance's previous wife was named Evelyn Ross, who had supposedly perished at sea.
With the Sterling Family's intelligence, it would be easy to guess it was her.
So hiding it was meaningless.
Natalie paused and looked at Joanna.
Joanna smiled slightly.
"Correct, I did have my suspicions."
Everyone knew Rabbit's personality.
Suddenly acting like a completely different person, how could that not attract attention?
Evelyn continued.
"Do you think it's possible that Clownfish has come to China?"
Natalie paused while eating.
She looked at Evelyn.
"Why are you always saying such shocking things today?"
Evelyn spread her hands.
"Clownfish's power base isn't in Aldoria, but she has already taken over Aldoria and driven Lion out. Aldoria is so close to China, how could she not come?"
Natalie pursed her lips.
"You have a point. But that Clownfish, we can't find her."
Joanna nodded.
"She never acts according to common sense, she's unpredictable. And this person seems to care about nothing. A person with no weakness is the most terrifying. Because what you fear most is her willingness to perish together with you."
As Joanna spoke, a trace of lingering fear appeared on her face.
Natalie noticed it keenly.
She immediately pressed further. "What? Did her 'perish together' threat scare you into coming to China?"
Joanna hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
"When she went to Aldoria, she just sent me a notice. Then she asked me, would I leave on my own, or would she blow up my company and then I'd leave?"
Natalie: "..."
Evelyn: "..."
Joanna pressed her lips together.
"If it were anyone else, I wouldn't believe they'd do that. What everyone is competing for is economic gain. If she spent that much money on weapons and completely destroyed my company, she'd gain nothing. But if that person is Clownfish... So I voluntarily gave up my company."
Natalie felt a chill.
"Terrifying. You did the right thing. If you hadn't given up, your company would definitely have been razed to the ground."
The way the two of them acted seemed very familiar with Clownfish's methods.
Evelyn was slightly taken aback.
"She's that ruthless?"
Natalie and Joanna nodded in unison.
The two spoke simultaneously. "Yes! This lunatic, she better not come to China!"
Evelyn: "I'm afraid she's already here."
China has become the world's most powerful economy.
Not to mention Clownfish, even the one from the M country would probably come.
Natalie shuddered.
"Let me tell you, I'd rather face ten Lions than face one Clownfish."
Joanna glanced at her.
"I'd rather face a hundred Foxes than face Clownfish."
Natalie immediately gritted her teeth.
"Lion, what do you mean by that?"
"You belittled me first!"
"Was I wrong to belittle you? Who was forced to leave their homeland by Clownfish and run to China? No wonder you pretended to be a servant in the Valentine family for so many years, living such a pitiful life!"
Joanna: "Hmm, I am pitiful. You're not pitiful, so why did you also seek refuge with Rabbit?"
"Hey! I didn't seek refuge! Rabbit sought refuge with me! Get that straight!"
Natalie flew into a rage.
Like a fox with its fur standing on end.
Listening to the two of them argue gave Evelyn a headache.
She rubbed her forehead and coughed lightly.
"Do you know what Clownfish looks like? Perhaps, she's already by my side."
