Chapter 850
Alexander Vance understood exactly what Evelyn Ross meant.
The atmosphere had been too intimate, making him want to tease her a little.
He got up, put on his robe, and took out a pen and paper from a drawer, writing down the coordinates he had calculated.
Evelyn took the pen and paper and quickly began her own calculations.
She had always been sharp in this area, and in no time, she had deduced the precise coordinates of the Sterling Family's location.
Once she had the coordinates, she immediately opened a satellite map to cross-reference.
The screen displayed nothing but a vast expanse of blue ocean.
"Not right," Evelyn shook her head. "The Sterling Family must have shielding devices. The outside world can't detect that island. But it definitely exists."
She had spent five days on that island.
Observing the sunrise and sunset each day.
The sunlight didn't lie.
The air carried the distinct salty, briny scent of the sea breeze.
She was certain that the Sterling Family's landmass was on the surface, definitely not a man-made underwater facility.
Evelyn drew a circle on the map. "It's right here."
Alexander nodded. Seeing her lightly dressed, he opened his robe and wrapped her inside, holding her close.
Evelyn leaned against his chest and continued, "To get there, we'd need to depart from Aldoria."
Aldoria was near the coast, indeed the best choice.
"We can't take a plane," Alexander added.
A plane was too conspicuous, easily picked up by radar scans.
The Sterling Family's influence was so vast, their technological level likely far surpassed that of any country. Evelyn knew that the Sterling Family's ability to scatter so many heirs across the globe was proof enough of their power.
They couldn't afford to underestimate any possibility.
Evelyn nodded. "We need a ship to take us there. Once we're in the nearby waters, we switch to a small boat to land, disguised as drifters."
If they arrived directly at the Sterling Family's doorstep on a yacht, they would never be allowed ashore.
That would be too high-profile.
Hiding their identities would be impossible.
Alexander nodded again. "I'll handle the ship. The question is, how do we make it look like a natural drift? A small boat appearing out of nowhere would also raise suspicion."
Evelyn rested her chin on her hand and suddenly looked at Alexander. "What if we pose as a couple whose families disapproved, eloped, got thrown overboard, and drifted to the Sterling Family clinging to a piece of wreckage?"
Alexander shook his head. "Too contrived. Not believable enough. It needs to be more natural."
Evelyn frowned, looking troubled.
Seeing this, Alexander smiled. "You're not good at these deceptive tricks. Leave it to me. When do you plan to go?"
Evelyn thought for a moment. "We just left. Going back immediately would be too noticeable. We should wait half a month or a month. During this time, it would be great if we could identify that 'Eagle' in M Country."
Alexander asked, "So, we go to M Country on a business trip? I have some dealings there too."
Evelyn stared at him.
She sat up straight, studying Alexander. "How do you have business everywhere? What exactly do you do?"
Alexander replied calmly, "A bit of everything."
Evelyn scoffed. "More like 'everything' on a massive scale."
Alexander took her hand. "If you're interested, I can show you all my holdings. They might not compare to the Sterling Family, but they can hold their own."
Evelyn waved a hand dismissively. "Not interested."
She had lacked money growing up and once craved wealth intensely.
But after she made her own fortune, money became just a number to her. She preferred to stay within her fields of interest. Company affairs had long been handed over to others to manage.
Alexander sighed. "I knew you wouldn't want to bother with these things. So, don't worry about the Sterling Family trip. I'll arrange everything. I'll prepare new identities for us."
Evelyn nodded trustingly.
They were about to continue discussing when the bedroom door was suddenly knocked.
Natalie Castillo's voice came from outside. "Hey, are you two done? Can I come in?"
Evelyn and Alexander exchanged a look, both puzzled.
Wasn't this a rather inappropriate time?
But Natalie continued from outside, "I have something important to tell you! It's really important!"
