Chapter 481
Evelyn Ross was momentarily stunned by Mrs. Evans's question.
Her research institute was publicly known as the Nora Research Institute.
But that wasn't its full name.
It was merely an abbreviation.
As for the full name…
Evelyn paused, unable to recall it immediately.
She owned far too many businesses.
Courier companies, restaurants, equestrian clubs, racetracks…
After a moment of thought, she spoke. "If you have no objections, I'll draft the contract first. I'll inform you of the full name upon signing."
Mrs. Evans nodded readily. "Alright."
They had reached an agreement.
Evelyn brought up another matter. "Regarding my elder brother's oligospermia diagnosis, I hope you can assist with the investigation."
Mrs. Evans's expression turned grave. "I've already looked into it. Our attending physician went abroad for a seminar and never returned. He only sent a resignation email."
Evelyn's gaze sharpened.
The doctor who treated Marcus Valentine at the Valentine private hospital had done the same.
Three doctors had resigned simultaneously.
All were headhunted by foreign medical institutions.
All lost contact.
This was no coincidence.
Someone was targeting Marcus Valentine.
Evelyn frowned.
Her first thought was of that mysterious Nan family.
…
Meanwhile.
In Jason Evans's hospital room.
Jason was restless with anxiety.
He abruptly threw off the covers and got out of bed.
His legs were spread wide in an awkward stance.
"Hurry, pack our things. We're going home!"
He needed to leave this place immediately!
The hospital room door was suddenly kicked open!
Jason had just turned around when a heavy punch slammed into his face!
He was sent flying and landed heavily on the floor.
Justin Evans stormed in, kicking and punching him!
"My sister broke three ribs. Today, I'll break three of yours!"
Justin struck with ruthless precision, directly breaking three of Jason's ribs.
Jason spat blood and begged for mercy. "Third Brother, spare me!"
"Spare you?" Justin's eyes were icy. "How many years did I search for my sister? Why did you deceive us?!"
Jason suddenly erupted. "Were you ever good to me?!"
Justin's movements halted.
Jason screamed hoarsely. "You either hit or scolded me! Treated me like a lackey! When did you ever treat me like a person?! I deceived you all to watch you be made a fool! To watch you bully Jane! Bully your own sister!"
"Your branch of the family acts so high and mighty! After she was lost, she was just some poor wretch! Crushed beneath my feet! What gives you the right to be so arrogant?!"
Tears streamed down Jason's face; he looked deranged.
Justin's expression darkened.
He looked down at Jason, his voice cold. "No excuse can hide your twisted psychology! Jason, you must pay the price!"
He viciously kicked Jason's shin.
The sound of bone cracking was clearly audible.
Then he broke his arm.
Every injury his sister suffered, he returned to Jason one by one!
Piercing screams filled the hospital room.
After venting his rage, Justin looked at the barely conscious Jason and finally stopped.
He turned and left, returning to the ICU.
Mrs. Evans looked at him. "Settled?"
Justin took a deep breath. "He's unconscious. Once his injuries heal, I'll force him to jump off a rooftop."
Mrs. Evans nodded.
She looked at Evelyn. "Miss Ross saved Jane. She is our family's benefactor. I've agreed to cooperate with her research institute. All our affiliated hospitals will import her pharmaceuticals."
Justin was surprised. "You have a medical research institute too?"
"Yes."
Evelyn was having someone draft the contract. "The contract will be sent shortly. We can sign if there are no issues."
Mrs. Evans asked, "How much import volume do you think is appropriate?"
Evelyn pondered.
The Nan family wanted her to cooperate with the five major families.
The deal with the Evans family couldn't be too small.
She looked up. "Fifty million per month. How does that sound?"
Mrs. Evans was taken aback.
Justin's face instantly turned cold.
Fifty million!
Fifty million monthly meant six hundred million annually!
Six billion over ten years!
This price had only ever been offered to the Nora Research Institute.
To compete for the rights to Nora's new products.
This woman seemed indifferent, but her asking price was ruthlessly steep!
Justin wanted to object.
Mrs. Evans stopped him.
Justin was displeased. "Mother!"
Mrs. Evans shook her head. "Is Jane's life not worth six billion?"
Six billion was less than half the Evans family's wealth.
Justin fell silent.
Mrs. Evans said, "Justin, you will handle the contract. Nora's new product is launching next month. This is a good opportunity for you to learn how to cooperate and strive for the new product."
Justin reluctantly nodded.
"Ding—"
Evelyn's phone chimed.
She raised an eyebrow. "The contract is here. Would you like to review it first, Young Master Evans?"
"Fine."
Justin opened the contract and glanced at it.
The next moment, he saw the full name of the Party A company and froze on the spot.
