Chapter 742

Cecilia Evans couldn't help but sigh when she heard this.

Look at how considerate other people's husbands are.

And then look at Aaron Truman, still hiding his illness even now!

Cecilia clenched her fists, resentment churning in her heart.

Aaron Truman walked out of the examination room and looked at her. "Honey, you should go get checked too. Don't be afraid, it's fine."

Cecilia walked into the examination room with a smile on her face, but her heart was ice-cold.

CT scans have radiation.

To cover up his condition, Aaron didn't even care about her health!

But it was him who had bailed her out.

Without Aaron, she'd still be in the detention center.

Cecilia gritted her teeth and finished the examination.

She walked towards the doctor's office. Before she even entered, she heard the doctor's voice. "Mr. Truman, getting scans when you're not sick exposes you to radiation. Why bother?"

Aaron said quietly, "It's fine."

The doctor sighed. "The lesion is progressing rapidly. Fortunately, it's not painful. You won't feel it even as the condition worsens..."

Aaron's voice tightened. "How much time is left?"

The doctor was silent for a moment. "It was already advanced when discovered. At most, two weeks. But there is an imported medication. It might extend life by a few years. Would you like to try it?"

Aaron nodded immediately. "Yes."

"The medication is very expensive. One course costs over a million, and it can only extend life by three to five years. But perhaps in three to five years, there will be new drugs."

"I'll sell the house if I have to."

"Alright, I'll prescribe it for you."

The doctor wrote out the prescription.

Aaron added, "Don't let my wife know. Tell her these are vitamins. Prescribe some vitamins too. I'll take them with her."

The doctor agreed.

He had never seen a man so devoted.

Aaron came out with the prescription and bumped into Cecilia. He was startled. "Why are you here? You didn't... hear anything just now, did you?"

So guilty.

Cecilia sneered inwardly, but her face beamed with a smile. "I didn't hear anything. Give me the prescription. I'll go buy the medicine."

Aaron happened to receive a work call and handed her the prescription.

Cecilia used Sebastian Truman's card to buy the medicine.

On one side were vitamins. On the other was the special medication.

She was seething with hatred.

A scalper approached her. "Miss, is this the special anti-cancer medication?"

Cecilia was taken aback. "How do you know?"

"Want to sell it for a high price? I'm a medication reseller. This drug can only be prescribed to specific patients, but I have channels to sell it. Since it's late stage anyway and there's not long to live, why spend the money? Sell it to me at a ten percent discount."

A ten percent discount meant nine hundred thousand.

Cecilia's eyes lit up. "Deal."

She sold the special medication to the scalper and went to a pharmacy to buy identical vitamins.

Back home, both she and Aaron were taking "vitamins."

Aaron wouldn't live more than two weeks?

It didn't matter.

Next time she bought the medication, she'd take the four million and go abroad.

The more Cecilia thought about it, the more excited she became. Suddenly, she felt dizzy.

It seemed like anemia.

But it was fine.

She took the medicine and left the hospital with Aaron.

That evening, Aaron brought two bottles of "vitamins." "Honey, the doctor said we're deficient in vitamins. From now on, we'll take them together every day."

Cecilia smiled meaningfully. "Sure, darling. Let's take them together."

Aaron smiled and handed her the bottle.

Over the next few days, Cecilia took the "vitamins" with Aaron every day.

The medicine was a bit hard to swallow. Her appetite worsened. She ate less and lost weight.

Cecilia had always wanted to lose weight but never succeeded. Now that she was suddenly slimming down, she felt somewhat pleased.

She didn't notice the sorrow in Aaron's eyes every time he looked at her.

A week passed.

Evelyn Ross woke up in the morning and immediately prepared to go to the Truman family home.

Natalie Castillo followed her. "You're going to find Sebastian? Take me with you."

Evelyn looked at her. "Are you sure Sebastian will get into a car accident today?"

Natalie nodded. "Yes, I'm sure."

Evelyn said, "Alright, let's go together and see."
