Chapter 467

Sophia nodded and said, “I’ll keep it safe in my room. I promise I won’t lose it.”

"Good. Have you eaten dinner yet?” Dominic asked.

“Yes! I had dinner at the hotel with Henry.”

“You seem very fond of Henry,” Dominic remarked, recalling how she had switched seats with Michael earlier that afternoon.

In the past, Sophia would never leave his side when they went out.

But today, she had chosen to sit next to Henry instead.

“I like Henry and Lily,” Sophia said.

She had a strong feeling that she wasn’t just Henry’s aunt—but Lily’s as well.

The way Henry and Lily interacted reminded her of her own relationship with Dominic.

Dominic’s mind flashed back to that night in the forest mansion, when he had nearly strangled Henry.

When they met earlier, Henry hadn’t once looked at him.

It was as if the boy was deliberately avoiding him.

Dominic was certain the incident had traumatized him.

Guilt settled heavily in his chest.

He rarely felt guilty about anything—he never acted without reason unless provoked.

If Henry hadn’t pushed him, he wouldn’t have lost control.

Looking back, though, even if Henry had been wrong, Dominic hadn’t handled the situation well either.

At dinner, Sophia suddenly approached him with her ID in hand.

“Why isn’t my last name ‘Blackwood,’ Big Brother? You said we were siblings.”

She had sent a photo of her ID to Henry earlier, and he was the one who had pointed it out.

“Isn’t ‘Sophia’ a beautiful name?” Dominic asked.

“It is, but I want to be a Blackwood too.”

“You’re too special for that name, Sophia. ‘Sophia’ suits you perfectly.”

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Okay, Big Brother.”

She returned to her room and explained everything to Henry.

When Henry checked her ID number, he realized it was an individual account with no direct link to Dominic.

“There’s another way to confirm it,” Henry suggested.

Sophia went back to the dining room, discreetly turning on her phone’s voice recorder.

“Tell me I’m your real little sister, Big Brother,” she said.

Henry had insisted he wouldn’t believe it unless he heard it directly from Dominic.

Dominic set down his fork and studied her. “Why do you want me to say that? Is this really for you?”

He quickly pieced together what was happening when he noticed her hiding her hand behind her back.

“Don’t tell too many people you’re my sister,” he said seriously, holding her gaze. “I’m worried my reputation could put you in danger. If people knew, they might follow you, harass you—or worse.”

Sophia didn’t fully understand, but she nodded. “Then I won’t tell Henry.”

“I’ll announce our relationship when the time is right,” Dominic promised. “You’re still recovering. There’s no need to rush.”

“Okay, Big Brother.”

The next day, Evelyn was trending online—but this time, it wasn’t about a scandal with a man.

It was about her children.
