Chapter 1763
chapter1763
Zera froze for a moment, her brow furrowing slightly as she looked up in surprise. She hadn't expected to run into Simona at the dealership.
Aiken seemed equally surprised, but he quickly turned to Caleb. "You two are looking to buy a new car?"
"Yeah, we're just browsing," Caleb replied.
Simona ran her fingers over a nearby car. "Aiken, I've decided on this one. Please order it for me."
She had just noticed that Zera was eyeing the same car-a few million dollars' worth. While money wasn't an issue, she simply didn't want Zera to have it.
Aiken had been with Wendy for years and hadn't even bought her a car, likely because Wendy didn't care for such things. She was independent and didn't place value on material items like cars.
Zera's face tightened. The car was the only one of its kind in the city, and she bit her lip, glancing at Aiken.
Sensing the tension, the sales associate wisely kept quiet and remained a passive observer. This wasn't just the typical rivalry between a girlfriend and a mistress but a clash between a sister and her brother's girlfriend.
None of them were easy to deal with.
Aiken turned to the sales associate. "Give her this car," he said, referring to Simona.
Zera's expression darkened immediately. It was clear now that Aiken cared more about his sister than his girlfriend, no matter how much he pampered her. This realization left Zera feeling uncomfortable, but Simona didn't seem particularly pleased either.
"You two continue looking around. I'll go with Caleb to see what car he's interested in," Simona said flatly.
Zera raised an eyebrow, glancing at Caleb. "Is he your boyfriend?"
Caleb was young and handsome, with that effortlessly cool, rebellious demeanor many young people had. He and Simona shared a similar vibe-both coming from powerful, wealthy families, untouchable and above the rest.
Simona shot Zera a cold glance. "What does our relationship have to do with you? Mind your own business."
Her words were sharp and clearly aimed at Zera, but Zera couldn't retort.
Zera's face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and anger, her expression
shifting between red and pale, not looking pleasant at all.
"I was just asking. There's no need to speak to me like that," Zera said, looking at Aiken with a hint of
frustration. In just a matter of moments, the car she had set
eyes on was taken from herer
and
now she was being mocked so coldly.
As a public figure, she was accustomed to being respected. Aside from the occasional scolding from a director on set, no one dared to show her disrespect, especially now that she was Aiken's girlfriend. But Simona seemed to think nothing of it.
"Who are you to tell me how to speak?" Simona snapped, rolling her eyes before turning back to Aiken. "Aiken, this woman doesn't know her place've met so many people before, but no one has ever said anything like that to me. A mere actress thinks she's all that, huh?"
Caleb stifled a laugh. Simona had a talent for getting under people's skin, and with just a few words, she could leave someone seething with rage.
Zera's face turned red with embarrassment, and she couldn't hold it in any longer. "I know you don't like me with your brother, but there's no need to be so harsh."
Simona smirked. "You've misjudged me. If I were truly harsh, you wouldn't even make it out of this dealership today."
She wasn't the type to take challenges lightly, and she wasn't afraid to make that known.
