Chapter 1838
chapter1838
Manfred's throat felt like it was on fire. It was as if his entire body had suddenly ignited in flames.
So, he hurriedly gulped down a mouthful of cold tea.
The icy liquid slid down his throat, offering only a fleeting moment of relief before the burning sensation surged back, engulfing him completely. Even the chilly temperature of the room couldn't suppress the ferocity of the sensation.
Uncontrollably, his mind began to conjure images of Vivian. Her every movement, her every smile, expanded and replayed endlessly in his mind.
"The food was tampered with!"
Manfred bit down on his lip, the sharp taste of blood spreading in his mouth. The metallic tang was strong, yet it couldn't suppress the primal desires surging through his body.
However, reason prevailed for the time being.
While his rationality remained intact, he hid all traces of Vivian in the room. He also removed his down jacket and changed into the clothes Randall had sent him.
The scent of the new clothes was unfamiliar and unpleasant—a rotten, decaying odor, like an insidious temptation to descend into depravity.
It filled him with disgust, much like the disdain he felt for being Randall's son.
The flickering candlelight swayed erratically, mirroring the chaos in his heart.
Caught between the urge to indulge and the need for restraint, he found himself consumed by a maddening desire to see Vivian.
"Vivian... Vivian..."
Just then, there was a knock at the door. The sound was soft yet insistent.
Sweat already coated Manfred's forehead as he turned to look toward the door, his gaze unfocused and dazed.
"Is it you?"
Outside, the two women waited but received no response.
Exchanging a glance, one of them cradled a guitar and began playing it just outside the door, her voice joining in a hauntingly seductive melody.
In the cold night, the woman's melodious singing was irresistible, a siren's call in the quiet.
Not far away, two household staff watching the scene whispered to each other, stamping their feet against the cold.
"Why is Mrs. Atkinson suddenly
being so kind to Mr. Manfred? These two women are like
goddesses-beautiful and
enchanting. My heart is racing just
watching them! Mr. Mel
lucky!"
is so
"What do you know? He has never been with a woman before. If he gives in tonight, he'll probably crave women every day from now on! And these two women? They're trained to seduce men. No one can resist them."
"Tsk, tsk. If I ever get married, I'd want a wife who knows how to serve me like this!"
"Haha! If I had a wife like that, I'd never want to get out of bed in the morning!"
They continued their low conversation, stealing glances at the door, which remained firmly shut.
"Isn't Mr. Manfred a bit too good at resisting?" one muttered.
"I'm already, uh, reacting. I might have to go to the restroom to take care of myself. Didn't they say Mr. Manfred was drugged? How's he still holding out?"
"He's inexperienced. He doesn't understand it yet! But I bet he's about to lose control."
And sure enough, just as the words left their mouths, the tightly shut door finally opened.
Both of the household staff froze in surprise, then exchanged knowing smirks.
"Mr. Manfred is in for a good time tonight!"
"So envious!"
