Chapter 1805

chapter1805

Vivian finished speaking and suddenly realized she had been talking the entire time. She stopped asking questions and simply looked up at the slender young man in front of her. She had to admit that Manfred was undeniably handsome.

Though his complexion was a bit pale, and he seemed a little too thin, she thought that if he gained a few pounds, he would be even more striking.

Manfred blushed, unaccustomed to being looked at like this. No one had ever regarded him with such admiration before. It was a first.

In Vivian's gaze, it was as if there were countless stars shining, a brilliance that unexpectedly pierced through his heart.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Vivian smiled warmly. "Because you're so handsome."

Manfred's face flushed deeper, his ears burning with embarrassment.

"What's your name?" he asked.

Vivian suddenly realized this was her third visit, and she had never introduced herself. "I'm Vivian Martin," she said with a smile.

"Ms. Martin."

Vivian nodded, still smiling. "Have you thought of anything else you might need?" she asked.

Manfred hesitated, finding it difficult to speak. There were things he did need.

"Right now, I'm helping you, but who knows, maybe someday you'll return the favor. So don't be shy about asking," Vivian added, sensing that Manfred might be able to help her find Skylar and Joe. Compared to her parents, there was nothing money could buy that mattered more.

Manfred looked at her for a moment, thinking, "Return the favor?"

He supposed that was only right. He silently promised to repay her in whatever way he could in the future.

After a brief pause, he said firmly, "I need tools for digging secret passages and some drugs to induce unconsciousness."

The rest, he would have to handle himself.

Vivian immediately agreed. "Alright, I'll get them for you and return in a couple of days."

"Wait for me here," Manfred said quickly before heading back inside.

Vivian waited in the yard, her eyes scanning her surroundings. The mansion was large, and faint sounds of activity could be heard in the distance, contrasting sharply with the silence at Manfred's place.

She didn't want to pry into his situation, so she refrained from asking more

questions. However, she could sense that Manfred's circumstances were delicate and complicated.

A few minutes later, Manfred returned, holding something new in his hands.

"I don't have any money at the

moment, and the items you've bought are quite valuable. I will make sure to repay you later. For now, accept this bracelet as a token for the cost of these items." Manfred handed her the bracelet.

Vivian froze when she saw the

bracelet. It was the same one she was wearing. She glanced from the bracelet in his palm to her wrist, noticing that the one she had been wearing was slowly disappearing.

"This bracelet should be worth some money..." Manfred misinterpreted her reaction, thinking she didn't like it.

After all, everything Vivian had given him was of exceptional quality.
