Chapter 1770

chapter1770

When Thelma saw the messages, her face turned pale.

"What's wrong?" Charles asked, noticing her stiff posture as she stared at her phone. Leaning over, he caught a glimpse of the screen.

It was a photo-one that showed Thelma unclothed.

"Don't look!" Charles said quickly.

Tears welled in Thelma's eyes. Her voice trembled as she said, "I didn't take these photos. The person in them isn't me, but the face... it's mine."

Charles sighed. "I saw these earlier with the director."

He hadn't intended for her to learn about this yet, but it appeared she had already seen them.

"You... saw them earlier? Then..." Thelma's heart raced as she looked at Charles, afraid he might misunderstand and think she had something to do with it.

But Charles remained calm, offering a reassuring smile. "They're either edited or Al-generated. I believe you. Who sent them to you?"

"It was my former agent. She's always been good to me. If she's seen them, then others must have too. No wonder the director told me I couldn't film today."

She never imagined that, while she had no intention of harming anyone, someone had been scheming against her. But who?

"I'll handle this. You stay home and rest for the next few days," Charles said, making up his mind. He wouldn't let Thelma suffer any more harm.

Thelma bit her lip, her expression hardening with determination. "I can't keep hiding behind you. This is my battle, and I need to face it. I'm going to report this to the police."

Charles blinked in surprise before his expression brightened. "Good. Let's report it. I'll have Clement contact a lawyer and draft a statement. We'll get to the bottom of this. Whoever's behind this will pay."

Thelma's eyes filled with tears as she looked at Charles. No matter what decision she made, he stood by her, ready to share her burdens. She had always thought of herself as unlucky, but now, she realized how fortunate she was to have met Charles.

The photos of Thelma had initially circulated privately among directors, investors, and producers. But someone leaked them to the media. Within hours, the photos dominated trending topics across all platforms.

Everyone was talking about Thelma. Once an invisible figure in the entertainment industry, she was now the center of attention-for all the wrong reasons.

In the makeup room of a film set, Sienna Conner's assistant, Phoebe Mendez, showed her the headlines.

"Look at this, Ms. Conner! Thelma's finished. Who knew she had such a wild side? She always acted so proper, like she was better than everyone else. Turns out she's not. What a disgrace! She's finally famous, though-dominating the trending topics. Charles must be regretting signing someone with so much baggage."

Sienna stared at the headline, stunned.

"How did this even make it to the trending list?" she asked, surprised.

F.n

"Once something like this breaks, it's bound to trend," Phoebe replied. "If it had happened earlier in her career no one would've cared. But now, she's Charles' first signed talent, and she's been gaining attention This scandal hit the top of the list in no time."

Phoebe's tone was matter-of-fact, but even she was surprised by Sienna's

reaction. It was rare to see her so shaken.
