Chapter 1883
chapter1883
Vivian had just finished freshening up.
She changed into the clothes Manfred had prepared for her. Since she wasn't good with accessories, she kept her hairstyle simple.
Once she was ready, she noticed that breakfast had already been set up.
Just like the previous night, the table was completely covered with dishes- steamed buns, freshly baked flatbreads, oatmeal, stir-fried vegetables, soup, and more. The variety was impressive, and everything looked, smelled, and likely tasted delicious.
The moment she saw it all, her appetite came.
Manfred entered the room and glanced meaningfully at the maids by the door, who promptly closed it behind him.
"Why haven't you started eating?" Manfred asked.
Vivian replied, "I was waiting for you. Eating alone isn't much fun."
A faint smile appeared on Manfred's face. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. If these dishes get cold, they won't taste as good."
"They're still steaming. The maids just brought them in a few minutes ago," Vivian said.
After washing his hands, Manfred walked over and said, "I don't have much to do today. I can take you around the city for a bit."
Vivian's eyes lit up, her expression immediately becoming animated. "That's wonderful! Yesterday felt too rushed. Today, we can take our time exploring. Oh, by the way, are there any shops that sell copper mirrors?"
Her parents were doing everything they could to locate a copper mirror, and she wanted to help. She would search for the mirror while continuing to look for her parents.
She firmly believed she would find them soon.
"There should be. I'll ask the steward later to find out where the shops selling copper mirrors are located," Manfred replied.
In truth, he wasn't too familiar with the city's layout, especially for items like copper mirrors, which were more suited to women's tastes.
"That's fantastic!" Vivian said excitedly.
Outside the door, Kemp's expression was grim. He overheard Manfred talking to himself again.

It was obvious-his lord must have been possessed by some kind of evil spirit! Or
worse, that female ghost might be right by his side.
Otherwise, why would he talk to himself?
No, this wouldn't do. He had to find another chance to visit the Holland family today and discuss the matter with Glen.
He couldn't allow the female ghost to harm his lord!
Meanwhile, Zea and Cyril had been tied up in burlap sacks and thrown onto a carriage waiting at the back gate They were now being transported out of Vlario.
An hour later, news of the event reached the Holland family.
He let out a heavy sigh. "Manfred has clearly learned medical skills from someone, as well as the art of poison-making. Since he's poisoned Zea and her son, there's likely no one who can provide an antidote Let it be

"Since Manfred has ordered them to be thrown out of Vlario, make sure they're taken far away."
...
Vivian stood before a dazzling array of copper mirrors, her eyes overwhelmed by the choices.
She wasn't sure exactly what kind of copper mirror her parents were looking for, but she trusted her instincts.
If the mirror could help her parents return to the modern era, she believed she would feel it.
However...
