Chapter 1776
chapter1776
Leland said, "Okay."
After Leland left, Sienna continued to watch Charles. About half an hour later, as he finished filming and was about to leave, Sienna stepped forward, blocking his path.
"Mr. Sullivan, I need to speak with you privately."
Charles looked at her with a blank expression, his tone distant. "Sorry, I have other matters to attend to. If it's something important, talk to my agent."
Sienna bristled at his dismissal but restrained her anger, remembering the reason for her approach. She forced herself to speak patiently. "What I need to discuss is about Thelma. Just half an hour of your time, Mr. Sullivan."
Charles finally looked her in the eye at the mention of Thelma's name. "Thelma?" "Yes," Sienna replied, feeling a sting of humiliation.
In Charles's eyes, a popular actress like herself was less significant than Thelma —an industry nobody.
Charles checked his watch and nodded. "I can spare you 20 minutes. Let's talk outside."
"Alright."
Once outside, Sienna quickly scanned the surroundings. Satisfied that no one was around, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Go ahead," Charles said, clearly not interested in wasting time.
Sienna forced a smile, trying to look more composed. "Let me get straight to the point. Mr. Sullivan, you don't really know Thelma. She has deceived you.
"A few years ago, Thelma was my assistant. Back then, she wasn't someone who focused on her work. All she cared about was finding ways to use me as a stepping stone for her debut."
Charles's face darkened. "If this is the kind of thing you wanted to say, we're done here. I don't want to hear any more, and I suggest you keep this to yourself."
Seeing that Charles didn't even have a hint of doubt and immediately defended Thelma, Sienna took a deep breath and continued, "You're being fooled by her act, Mr. Sullivan. She's not who you think she is. Even Warwick has been deceived."
"You might not know this," Sienna pressed on, but Thelma has been involved with Warwick for years. Their relationship has always been... questionable. I can't stand by and watch someone I admire like you be taken advantage of by her
"That's enough. You can leave now," Charles snapped coldly. He regretted wasting time listening to Sienna's nonsense.
Sienna's eyes widened in disbelief. "Mr. Sullivan, you don't believe me? If you don't, you can ask Warwick. He knows exactly what kind of person Thelma is."
"I said you can leave now," Charles replied, his patience finally running out. He turned to walk away.
Panicked, Sienna chased after him. She reached out and grabbed his wrist. "Mr. Sullivan, please. Can you drop the case? Don't let the police continue the investigation, and don't let the lawyers continue with Thelma's matter.
"I... I just couldn't stand it anymore. I thought Thelma was deceiving everyone,
and in my frustration, I made those fake photos. I swear, I did it merely to vent my frustration."
Charles narrowed his eyes. "So it was you."
Sienna couldn't bring herself to look
him in the eye. She kept her head
down, continuing, "I know I was wrong. Even if I knew Thelma wasn't a good person, I shouldn't have faked those photos. Mr. Sullivan, I've always been a fan of yours. Can you forgive my impulsive actions? I was just being irrational."
"No!" Charles said coldly.
Later that evening, Skylar checked the trending topics online before leaving the office. She hadn't expected Thelma's scandal to blow up like this.
When the photos first surfaced, she and Janine immediately recognized them as fake. Skylar had taken swift action, bringing in professional investigators to verify their inauthenticity.
She was about to call Charles for an update when her phone buzzed with a message. When she opened it, she found a photo.
The man in the image was unmistakably Joe. But the woman beside him, speaking to him, was unfamiliar—an angelic beauty with stunning, mixed-race features.
