Chapter 1820
chapter1820
Vivian was a bit uneasy, but she reassured herself that everything would be fine. The bracelet seemed perfectly ordinary.
Soon, she arrived at the front of a company building. Hadwin worked there, and within just a few years, he quickly became the vice CEO.
Most people didn't know that Hadwin's father was the Oscar-winning actor Austin Powell, and his mother was a big name in the F&B industry. He was, without a doubt, a true trust fund baby.
She sent Hadwin a WhatsApp message. "I'm here at your company."
Hadwin replied almost instantly. "Did you see a beautiful woman? Long, curly hair, white cropped sweater?"
He followed up with two questions.
Vivian raised an eyebrow and scanned the area. Reflecting on her earlier conversation with Harvey about Jamie being a playboy, she now realized that Hadwin was no different.
He often used her as a shield to break up with his girlfriends. She should've known that this was why he needed her help. Regret washed over her as she stood there.
It didn't take long for her to find the beautiful woman Hadwin had described, standing 32 feet away and looking just as he had mentioned.
She was breathtaking. Her waist was so slim it seemed fragile, and her figure was perfect.
Her legs were long and slender.
Vivian couldn't help but wonder how Hadwin could possibly want to break up with someone like her.
"Later, pretend to be my girlfriend. If you do well, I'll take you out to dinner tonight," Hadwin sent another message.
Vivian rolled her eyes, speechless. She was only 18-barely past her birthday— and Hadwin had already used her as a shield twice. No, this would be the third time.
The poor woman was probably about to face a heartbreak today.
It seemed that Moana Pena, the beauty, had noticed Vivian's gaze. When their eyes met, she raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
Moana rarely encountered someone who could rival her beauty, but the young woman in front of her was clearly younger-probably only 18 or 19. Despite her youthful innocence, her features and figure were naturally exquisite.
She was even a few inches taller than her.
Her skin was flawless-smooth, fair, and seemingly poreless. She wore no makeup, yet her natural beauty made it impossible to look away.
When two beauties met, there was always a bit of internal comparison. Vivian flashed a smile.
Moana pulled at the corners of her lips. She was already feeling down-Hadwin had just told her he wanted to break up, and now she was facing a woman even more beautiful than herself.
It stung her confidence.
The young woman appeared even younger. She was maybe five or six years younger and radiated such fresh youth that it was almost palpable.
Just then, Hadwin stepped out.
Seeing Hadwin, Moana's eyes filled with tears. She looked at him with a pitiful, almost heartbreaking expression. "Hadwin, you finally agreed to see me."
It had only been a month since they started dating, so she couldn't comprehend how he could suddenly decide that he no longer had feelings for her.
Hadwin, seeing a tearful Moana, showed no emotion and instead turned his gaze toward Vivian.
Vivian's lips twitched as she silently observed the situation. Her expression was one of exasperation.
"Vivian, have you been waiting long? Is it cold?" Hadwin asked, holding a soft, cream-colored cashmere shawl. It looked so warm, the color almost radiating comfort.
autum
Vivian had worn a long coat with a cashmere sweater underneath, so the late autumn chill didn't bother her. She was about to tell him she wasn't cold, but the intensity of his gaze made her nod in understanding. "A little cold."
Moana, still wearing a crop top sweater, watched them with a face as pale as a ghost. She looked as if she were about to crumble. She confronted Hadwin. "Hadwin, you're breaking up with me because of her, aren't you? When we were together, you said you would only like me. How could you change your mind so easily? She's the one who seduced you, right?"
Then she turned her fiery gaze on Vivian. "You're not even 20, right? You're so young, and you're already trying to be a mistress? Trying to steal someone else's boyfriend."
