Chapter 1853
chapter1853
The next day, early in the morning, a scream echoed through the Atkinson residence, startling everyone.
The commotion reached all corners of the house, especially disturbing Zea, who had spent a sleepless night.
She had endured hours of loud noises, making her face turn dark with irritation.
Just as dawn broke and the noise finally subsided, she managed to fall asleep. But in the middle of her deep slumber, a few more piercing screams jolted her awake.
Rhea rushed in, looking flustered. "Mrs. Atkinson, Fern and Virginia... they've... they've climbed into Mr. Randall's bed. They served him together last night."
Zea's face instantly turned ashen. "What did you say?"
Rhea slapped her thighs in frustration. "No wonder there was so much noise last night! I never would have thought it. Mr. Randall himself seemed surprised at first, but then he said to keep it quiet and mentioned he plans to take them both as companions."
Zea's anger flared. "Has he gone mad? He's never taken another woman all these years. Now, at his age, he's going to bring them in? Does he want everyone in Vlario to gossip about him being too old to be acting like this?"
Zea had been contemplating how to deal with Fern and Virginia, whom she had sent to ruin Manfred. But now, they had gone and seduced Randall.
This was intolerable.
Randall now even planned to take both of them as his companions.
Rhea spoke solemnly, "Mrs. Atkinson, I think Mr. Randall has truly made up his mind this time. Everyone knows about Mr. Cyril's health, and Mr. Manfred has been absent for so long. People will think Mr. Randall is taking these women in to secure heirs."
"Secure heirs?" Zea ground her teeth.
If those two women managed to bear Randall's child, there would be no future for her or Cyril in the Atkinson residence. Zea knew Manfred well. He was a cold and heartless man.
"I'm going to see this for myself." Zea immediately got out of bed.
After an entire sleepless night, Zea could clearly see the signs of aging on her face as she looked into the copper mirror. The past few years had been incredibly difficult for her.
She spent every day thinking about how to deal with the women Manfred had been entertaining, all while planning how to torment Manfred.
Her days of peace were few and far between.
Now, to make matters worse, Randall had brought in two more problems. Rhea followed Zea as she made her way to Randall's room.
Upon entering, they found the two alluring women, standing with poise as they assisted Randall in getting dressed.
Despite spending an entire night together, Randall looked as if he had just been refreshed, his face glowing with vitality. His eyes kept darting back and forth between Fern and Virginia, seemingly more pleased with each glance.
Both Fern and Virginia had marks on their necks, clear evidence of a wild night. It
was obvious what had transpired between them.
Zea's anger flared.
"You've become increasingly
thoughtful, preparing surprises for
me. I'm
very satisfied with these
two, and they look like they should
be excellent for childbearing,"
ve
Randall remarked as he realized Zea had entered.
His words, though meant to compliment Zea, were more of a compliment for the
two women.
The three of them exchanged
glances, a silent understanding passing between them, which only
made Zea's blood boil. She bit her lip
so hard it nearly drew blood, her fury threatening to boil over.
The two women exchanged a quick, fearful glance. Though they were scared, they quickly came to a realization.
They realized that being the lover of Manfred was nothing compared to being with Randall. If they had children, they could easily sway him, and they wouldn't have to fear Zea.
Besides, they knew Zea wasn't a kind person-they had learned that the hard way.
