Chapter 1862

chapter1862

Vivian watched as the two security guards escorted Bud away.

Once they had gone far enough, she finally withdrew her gaze. It was only then that she felt herself completely calm.

Turning around, she glanced at the large tree again.

At that moment, a beam of sunlight broke through the clouds and seemed to fall directly onto the tree. It was as if a voice was urging her to approach. She closed

her eyes.

Her mind replayed the surveillance footage she had seen over two years ago. The place where her parents had disappeared in the surveillance footage was indeed at the midway point of the mountain.

There were no signs or traces that they had ever been higher up the slope.

Bud's words earlier seemed to hold some truth. Intuition told her it might be real.

Without hesitation, she began walking toward the tree.

Now, in her eyes, the tree seemed different from the others around it.

She reached the tree quickly. Surrounding it were more trees and some grass, all covered in snow.

The tree was the same. Snow still clung to it from yesterday's snowfall, and at this moment, the tree seemed bathed in a holy light.

She gently reached up and touched the bark.

"Dad, Mom," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

In the next moment, a bright white light flashed before her eyes. Vivian quickly

closed her eyes to shield herself from the intense glow.

When she opened her eyes again, the scene before her had completely changed. No longer was she standing near that towering tree or surrounded by the endless snow of the tourist attraction. Instead, she found herself in the middle of a bustling, vibrant marketplace.

The street was full of old-world charm, with buildings and stalls that seemed to have stepped out of a historical painting. It felt as if she had walked into a scene from the past, the lively atmosphere of ancient times enveloping her.

As she took in the sights and sounds of the market, she couldn't help but stand there, dumbfounded.

She thought to herself, "Where am I?"

Before she could contemplate further, she suddenly heard Joe's and Skylar's voices.

"I don't know if we'll ever get back. I miss our daughter so much," Skylar said, filled with longing.

Then Joe spoke, "Vivian is safe. She

rmom and your brothers

has your

looking after her. She'll be fine, and

she's grown up now! Don't worry. We

should be back soon."
