Chapter 1928
chapter1928
Howard spoke up immediately, "Vivian, I've already arranged everything with the hospital. Harvey told me about your situation, and I did a quick check-up on you over the past few days.
"But I still think you need a thorough blood test and other screenings at the hospital. Without that, neither Harvey nor I will feel comfortable letting you leave like this. Besides...
"The reason you were in a three-day coma this time because of the strain from the repeated crossings. I'll need some time to prepare specific medications for you. This way, when you return, you can take them daily to supplement your body's needs. It might prevent you from becoming so weak again."
Harvey nodded in agreement. "Howard's right. You need to be fully prepared this time."
Vivian thought quietly for a couple of minutes before finally agreeing. "Alright."
These last two crossings had caught her off guard, leaving her unprepared. This time, she needed to be ready.
After finishing her chicken soup, Harvey drove Vivian and Howard to Apollo Hospital.
She first drew blood and then completed several other tests.
Waiting for the results felt like an eternity. For Vivian, every minute spent here felt like more time slipping away on Manfred's side.
Fortunately, Howard had coordinated with the hospital in advance. The results were expedited and ready quickly. Soon, Howard received the test results.
"How is it?" Harvey asked as Howard scanned the reports.
Howard let out a sigh of relief after reviewing the reports. "Nothing major shows up in these reports. Vivian's body is just a bit weak, and she's in a suboptimal health state. She's also slightly anemic. Once we're back at Galaxy Villa, I'll prepare the necessary medications for her to take along."
Harvey relaxed visibly. "That's good to hear. Let's make sure she's fully equipped this time. I spoke with her earlier. She mentioned feeling extremely fatigued and losing her appetite for a few days before returning last time. Prepare something specific for those symptoms too."
"Understood."
On the drive back to Galaxy Villa, Vivian busied herself with her phone. There were many messages to catch up on, and she replied to them one by one.
Janine and others had been
checking in daily, worried about her.
Having been unconscious for threet
days, she hadn't been able to
respond, but thankfully, Harvey had provided a plausible explanation for her absence.
Howard prepared her medications once they reached Galaxy Villa while Vivian and Harvey packed her things together.
Since everyone could see her in Manfred's world, Vivian had to dress in period costume. She made sure to pack lightly, taking only essentials. Medications needed to be kept close at hand for convenience and safety.
She fashioned a small bundle, tucking in personal clothing and a few books. By
the time she finished, Howard had the medications ready.
Under their watchful gaze, she smiled and said, "Uncle Harvey, Uncle Howard, I'll bring Mom and Dad back."
"Vivian, you've got this."
Their eyes brimmed with unshed tears, a mixture of pride and deep concern for Vivian.
They stood silently, watching as she disappeared before them, like a scene straight out of a fantasy film.
Howard stood frozen, his mouth agape. "If I hadn't seen it myself, I'd never believe someone could just disappear like that!"
It was truly unbelievable.
Moreover, only he and Harvey knew
about this. Thinking back on it, it stirred up that youthful,
adrenaline-fueled excitement, the kind of feeling one only experienced when one was young.
